Beginning Farmers and Ranchers needed :  WNNBFRP

50 beginning farmers and ranchers are needed as participants in our new Western Navajo Nation Beginning Farmers and Ranchers program  WNNBFRP.

We are recruiting 50 beginning farmers and ranchers for this new 3 year program.  The program will provide introductory workshops, contact with mentor farmers and discussion panels to assist these new farmers and ranchers as they enter into the agricultural industry.

Farm Management Technology Training

Computers and other technology can be used to assist in farm management. Some of the applications we provide training in are

·         FINPACK: organize and analyze the current financial situation of your farm

o        help you explore alternatives within your agriculture business

o        provides you with the information to make better decisions about your agriculture business

o        all of which helps you better manage your operation

o        familiar environment to begin computerized recordkeeping

o        farm income and expense categories are easily added
